U.S. provides 14 Chinese language firms, to financial blacklist over Xinjiang

The Biden administration on Friday added 14 Chinese language firms and different entities to its financial blacklist over alleged human rights abuses and high-tech surveillance in Xinjiang.

The Commerce Division stated the businesses had been “implicated in human rights violations and abuses within the implementation of China’s marketing campaign of repression, mass detention, and excessive expertise surveillance towards Uyghurs, Kazakhs, and different members of Muslim minority teams within the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Area.”
